Programme Outline

Theme
To know a lot is not enough. To be a flexible and open thinker is not enough. You need to know a lot and be an open and creative thinker. This gives you and your organisation an edge which is hard, if not impossible, for competitors to easily imitate.

The programme will explore how to enable individuals and teams to think more creatively and effectively. You will become a world class creativity trainer and facilitator.

Objective

  • To skill participants in a range of creativity and decision making techniques that they can subsequently use to facilitate creativity sessions and meetings back at work.

Programme content
Through lecture, video, discussion and roundtable discussions and engaging practice and debrief sessions, delegates will acquire a full grasp of a range of thinking techniques.

 

The Ideas into Action Process

  • Understanding how we create our worlds - that our world is our world and not the world.

  • Understanding the creative/ideas into action process - analysis, goal setting, idea generation, growing and selecting winning ideas, making them happen.
  • Ideas into Action video.
  • Understanding your own thinking preferences - Kolb’s Learning Styles Inventory. Do you prefer ‘blue sky’/divergent, ‘red’/analytical, ‘green’/action-focused thinking? The importance of all three.
  • Looking at different organisations’ idea into action profile.
